Library Operations Updates
The Lake Travis Community Library is open for in-person browsing. We offer curbside reserve pick up, take & make crafts, and library events in a variety of formats: online, in-person, and hybrid. See our Programs Calendar for details.
Please self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms and do not visit the library if you are exhibiting any symptoms.
In-Person and Curbside Pickup Hours
The library offers curbside reserve pick up for patrons who prefer not to come inside the library building. Please note that we have two parking spots designated for curbside pick up.

- Once your items are ready to pick up, you will receive notification via email, text, or phone call. Please wait for notification before traveling to the library.
- Park in one of two designated parking spots in front of the library and call (512) 263-2885 to let us know you have arrived.
- We will check out your reserves and place them on the table in front of your car for contactless pick up.
Computer and Printing Services
Contactless mobile printing, copying, scanning, and faxing are available free of charge (please contact library staff if printing or copying more than 25 pages). You may pick up in-person or use our curbside service to retrieve your print job.
Frequently Asked Questions
What measures have been implemented to ensure the safety of patrons and staff?
The Lake Travis Community Library is committed to protecting the health and safety of our patrons and staff. We are closely following the CDC safety guidelines by implementing contactless curbside pick up, regularly disinfecting library surfaces, offering face masks, and staying home if sick. We also encourage all library patrons to follow CDC recommendations and take precautions to protect your health.
Can I pick up and return items on the bookmobile?
Yes! The bookmobile offers contactless curbside reserve pick up service at some bookmobile stops. Please understand that stops may be canceled at any time. Updated information about bookmobile stops is available on the bookmobile page. If your notification indicates that your reserve will be held on the bookmobile, it will be on the bookmobile when it is traveling to designated stops. If you would prefer to pick up your reserves at the main library, please contact the library at [email protected] or (512) 263-2885 to let us know.
My account is blocked. How can I put items on reserve?
Your account may be blocked if you have overdue or damaged material. If an item is overdue, simply return it to reinstate your account privileges. If an item is lost or damaged, please log into your account and follow the links to pay for it by credit or debit card, or pay by cash or check the next time you visit the library. Please contact us if we can offer financial assistance.
How long will you hold the items for me to pick up?
The library will hold your reserves for 7 days. Please note that your notification message will indicate the date through which we will hold your reserves.
Is there a limit to how many items I can put on reserve?
Due to overwhelming demand for curbside service and staffing limitations, we must restrict reserves to 20 items per account.
Can I donate materials to the library?
The Friends of the Library accept book donations any time the library is open. They do not accept Reader’s Digests or encyclopedias and ask that all donations be in good condition.
Your contributions will be used to support the Friends of the Library Bookstore!
