All Texas residents are eligible to become members of the Lake Travis Community Library. Simply fill out an application at the library and bring proof of Texas residency (usually a Texas driver’s license) or fill out the Library Card Application online. The library issues family cards and borrowers must be 18 or older to register for a library card.
Your PIN or password is your 10-digit phone number. You can change your password by logging in to your account and clicking “Set a secure password” in the Account Info tab. You can reset your password on the Account Login page or by contacting the library.
There is a limit of 50 items at one time.
Reserves are limited to 20 items per account. The library will hold your reserves for 7 days. Please note that your notification message will indicate the date through which we will hold your reserves.
Yes! Items are checked out for two weeks and will renew automatically on their due date unless an item is on reserve or has already been renewed twice. You can also renew online, by telephone, or in the library.
Items borrowed through Interlibrary Loan are not renewable; if you would like to extend the borrowing period, please contact [email protected].

The Lakeway location offers curbside reserve pickup for patrons who prefer not to come inside the library building. Please note that we have one parking spot designated for curbside pickup.
The West location offers drive-thru reserve pickup.
Your account may be blocked if you have overdue or damaged material. If an item is overdue, simply return it to reinstate your account privileges. If an item is lost or damaged, please log into your account and follow the links to pay for it by credit or debit card, or pay by cash or check the next time you visit the library. Please contact us if we can offer financial assistance. The library does not charge overdue fines.
Your account may also be blocked if it needs to be renewed. If your account is due for renewal, when you log in on our catalog page and click My Account, a renewal button will appear. Or simply contact the library for assistance.
There are three ways to obtain materials not currently in the library:
Yes! You can download eBooks, audiobooks, and magazines through Libby, and you can stream movies and other digital content through Kanopy. Please visit our Digital Resources page for more information about all the digital benefits of your library membership.
Yes! WiFi is available throughout the library, as well as on the patio and in the parking lot. WiFi is available at all times and no password is needed. The library also lends mobile hotspots that provide internet access to WiFi enabled devices; you can reserve a mobile hotspot online or contact the library for more information.
Yes! We offer several options for technology assistance including in-person help with volunteer tech coaches, online help with tech tutorials, and written columns on popular technology topics. Please visit the Tech Coach page for more details.
Yes, the library offers a number of in-person, online, and hybrid programs for all ages, including book clubs, story times, and author events. For more information, please visit our programs calendar.
The library offers bookmobile and home delivery outreach services. The bookmobile is a mobile library with books, audiobooks, movies, and TV shows for children and adults that visits locations throughout the library district. The library offers monthly home delivery to patrons who are unable to visit the library or bookmobile due to medical reasons or diminished mobility. Please read our brochure for more information. Yes! The bookmobile offers contactless curbside reserve pickup service at some bookmobile stops. Please understand that stops may be canceled at any time. Updated information about bookmobile stops is available on the bookmobile page. If your notification indicates that your reserve will be held on the bookmobile, it will be on the bookmobile when it is traveling to designated stops. If you would prefer to pick up your reserves at the main library, please contact the library at [email protected] or (512) 263-2885 to let us know.
Yes! The Friends of the Library Bookstore accepts book donations any time the library is open. They do not accept Reader’s Digests or encyclopedias and ask that all donations be in good condition. To learn more about how you can support the library, please visit our Donate page.
