Take an introductory tour of the bookmobile | Create your own paper bookmobile
The bookmobile is a mobile library with books, audiobooks, movies, and TV shows for children and adults, making stops at different locations throughout our library district. The bookmobile visits preschools, assisted living facilities, neighborhoods, RV Parks, and food pantries. Patrons can request library materials for pickup on the bookmobile by choosing “bookmobile” as the pickup location when reserving online. When the item becomes available it is available for pickup at most bookmobile stops. Check out items on the bookmobile and return them at the bookmobile or the library. The bookmobile also provides WiFi, printing services, and computer workstations and is open for browsing during story times.
Sign up for a free library card on the bookmobile! A library account provides you access to a variety of digital resources, such as the digital library, Mango Languages, Kanopy video streaming, and TexShare databases. All you need is valid proof of Texas residency such as a driver’s license or utility bill.
The bookmobile provides library services to people in the library district who are unserved or underserved due to physical, economic, social, geographic, or other barriers. One of the goals of the bookmobile is to provide information to people of all ages and abilities for their recreation, education, and lifelong learning.
