Join us on the second Thursday of the month as expert speakers present on various topics relating to politics, economics, society, and culture.
On November 11th, Jeannie Buderer will present a talk entitled Painted Surfaces: A Sampling of Famous Works of Art, Then and Now. She will discuss the influences of religion, culture, patronage and politics on artists and how it is reflected in their work. In addition, she will explore the how’s and why’s of media used in the works.
Buderer is a longtime library volunteer and a gallery teacher at the University of Texas Blanton Museum.
