All are invited to view the paintings of local artist Val Mayerik in the Lakeway meeting room this month. Mayerik worked for Marvel Comics on Conan the Barbarian and Spider-Man, and was co-creator of Howard the Duck. He then moved on to advertising, working as a storyboard and concept artist for companies such as Nike, Microsoft, and Coca-Cola. Mayerik’s illustrations have also appeared in educational and historical textbooks. Now he focuses on the Western art genre. All are invited to attend Val Mayerik’s art reception on Saturday, April 25th from 2pm to 3pm in the Lakeway meeting room.
