Gary Simpson’s multimedia presentation uses music, historic photographs from D-Day, and modern photographs of the important locations of the D-Day invasion to encourage the appreciation by people today of a major event in world history. The stories of individual American soldiers that participated in the D-Day invasion are intertwined with the photographs of significant locations to help people today understand that D-Day was really about the bravery, determination, and sacrifice of human beings in the accomplishment of a task of gigantic proportions that shaped the future for all of us. The major locations included are Utah Beach, Omaha Beach, Pointe du Hoc, Sainte-Mere-Eglise, The American Cemetery at Omaha Beach, Carentan, La Fiere Bridge, and Sainte-Marie-du-Mont.
