Join us on the second Thursday of the month as expert speakers present on various topics relating to politics, economics, society, and culture.

On February 10th, Dr. Susanne Sternthal will review the importance of Ukraine for Russia over time and the significance of that history for Russia. It is only by understanding this background and each country’s competing narrative about the past and its myths can today’s ominous Russian threat facing Ukraine be put in context. Sternthal holds a doctorate in political science and a masters in philosophy from Columbia University and is the author of the book ‘Gorbachev’s Reforms: De-Stalinization through Demilitarization.’
