In November, the library will temporarily close for building maintenance and in preparation for the opening of our second library location, West. The library will close Monday, November 4th and reopen on Monday, November 11th. Bookmobile service will continue as usual. All due dates will be extended until the Lakeway location reopens and reserves will be held for an extra week. Our digital collection is always available online! Audiobooks, eBooks, and magazines are available through Libby; movies and TV shows are available to stream through Kanopy.

Can I still return items?
Yes, items can still be returned to the drop boxes in our parking lot or to the bookmobile. Due dates will be extended until we reopen so you are welcome to hold onto your items.
Can I pick up items through curbside?
We will not be able to offer curbside reserve pick up during our closure. All reserves will be extended by one week.
Can I still visit the bookmobile?
Bookmobile service will continue as normal. Please see the bookmobile page for the calendar and list of scheduled stops.
Will there be any programs while the library is closed?
All in-person library programs have been cancelled. Three programs will happen either online or off-site: Silent Book Club (at Hops & Thyme), BYOB Talk (online), and Briarcliff Story Time (at the Briarcliff Community Center).
What services will be offered while the library is closed?
Patrons and guests are welcome to use the library’s WiFi while the building is closed. WiFi extends to the patio and throughout the parking lot.
Mobile printing, copying, and notary services will not be available.
Will the library accept book donations?
We are unable to accept book donations while we are closed.
When will the new library be open?
We plan to open West by the end of the year. Updates will be shared on out website and in our weekly newsletter.
Why is the library closed?
The library is closed to prepare for the opening of our second location, West, including moving items in the collection and training new staff. The Lakeway location will also undergo maintenance including new meeting room carpet, window washing, and more. We thank you for your patience during this time!
What if I have questions while the library is closed?
Librarians will have limited availability but will answer phone calls, texts, and emails as we can! Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need anything.
