Teen Volunteer Service Scholarship Recipients

One St. Stephen’s Episcopal School senior and three Lake Travis High School seniors will attend college in the fall with the help of scholarships from the Friends of the Lake Travis Community Library. All four recipients have volunteered at the library for over 75 hours.

Ace Dixon plans to attend the Maine College of Art and Design to double major in art education and illustration, specializing in character design. Katie Vo will attend the University of Texas at Austin and plans to obtain a master’s degree in computer science and business administration. Mary Grace Beinke will attend Boston University where she will major in biomedical engineering or neuroscience and work toward a PhD in neuroengineering. Olivia Paul will study data science with the goal of improving the educational system and addressing global challenges such as water scarcity and economic inequality.

“The future looks bright for these four outstanding students,” staff member Beth Yoder said. “We are grateful for their service to the library and thrilled to be able to support them as they continue their education.”

Since 2007, the Friends of the Library have awarded more than $137,000 in scholarships to teen volunteers. Congratulations and best wishes to these exceptional students!
